Best's older students staged a challenging evening of drama at The Maltings Arts Theatre last week. TheBYTE staged a devised work titled 'Drone' which dealt with life and releationships in a post-revolutionary futuristic jail. Best St Albans three older groups staged works covering Lizzie Borden, Macbeth and post-apocalyptic tribalism! So there was no shortage of thinking to be done.
Misty Tindall from Best's Friday school has landed the role of Matilda's best friend Lavender in the forthcoming RSC production of Roald Dahl's famous book. Misty had to go through 6 auditions before landing the role.
Her Mum, Danny, said "Misty has done so well, it's such an achievement to get this far so whatever happens from here on in, we are immensly proud of her. She was up against seasoned professionals straight out of Les MIs and other such things. I do feel genuinely that Misty's experiences at Best have contributed to all of this in a big way- she's breezed in there, done her thing and remained very much her own personality. I've always said that that's one thing that Best does best, encourages every child to be themselves and shine in their own spotlight and I'm sure that's what they saw with Misty."
We are thrilled for Misty. She's been with us for 6 years and has never given anyhting other than 100% in everything she's done. We wish her every success and offer her our sincere congratulations. Good job, Misty!
